desenly is a free, browser-based pattern studio. Built for knitting, punch needle and pixel art, it combines a grid editor, a color harmony generator, a silhouette library and a photo-to-pattern converter in one place. No account, no install — design right in your browser.

Features

Grid editor: pixel-by-pixel pattern drawing with pencil, bucket, line, rectangle, ellipse, eraser, eyedropper and shape stamp tools. Undo, redo, symmetry modes and grid line toggles included.
Color palettes: complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic, split-complementary and monochromatic harmony generator. Pick a base color, a harmony type and save your palette in seconds.
Silhouette library: stamp built-in shapes or draw and save your own from Workspace. Rotate and flip stamps on the fly.
Workspace: free vector drawing with freehand, line, rect, ellipse, arc and bezier tools. One tap rasterizes your sketch to the editor pattern's palette via LAB-space color quantization.
Image import: upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF. The image is snapped to the nearest palette entries in CIELAB distance and written into the grid — photo to knitting pattern in a single step.
Gallery: save your patterns in the browser, organize them by category, search by tag and export as PNG images or JSON projects.
